[GreenKeys] tape printer survey

Hi folks:

I'd like to do a quick survey of tape printers out there, if you would not
mind.

I am curious about the model 14 printer (and the western union version, the
Simplex Printer 2-B), the model 31 (std and wu versions), and any other
tape printers you may have.

I'd like to know make, model, tape-size, and any other distinguishing features.

For example, I have:

1) a Western Union Simplex Printer 2-B, made by Morkrum-Kleinschmidt (I
think). It takes 5/16" tape.

2) a Western Union version of the model 31, which also uses 5/16" tape.

3) a Teletype Corp. version of the model 31, which uses 3/8" tape.

4) an unusual Teletype Corp. tape printer version of the model 28 typing
reperf mechanism (which does not perf, of course); this also uses 3/8" tape.

Of the few WU 2-B printers around, all seem to be made by M-K. Does anyone
have/know-of one built under Morkrum, or Teletype Corp? Are they all 5/16"
tape?

Does anyone have/know-of a standard (non-WU) M14 tape printer which uses
3/8" tape? And if so, was it built by Morkrum, M-K, or Teletype?

I know there are one or two military versions of the model 31 out there --
what tape do they use? What about power?

thanks in advance,

gil
