It amazes me how fast we are dumping our old technology. My floppy drive died
so I went to Compusa to get a new one. All that they had were USB Floppy
drives!
A few days later I heard of a place named, "The used computer warehouse" so I
went down there to see if I could get a floppy drive. I found that it is a
charity organization that provides rebuilt computers to children that can't
afford to buy one. It was located in a warehouse that was STUFFED with pallet
loads of computer parts. When I told the fellow that I needed a floppy drive he
went over to a pallet box full of drives and told me to pick one. When I tried
to pay for it he wouldn't take my money, so I gave him $5 for "the soda fund"
