Hi Wayne,
I meant to add the dimensions, but hit the send pre-maturely.
The paper is 12 inches wide, usually the tractor strips tear off
bringing it down to 11 inches, some even had a perforation at
the 9 inch mark to bring the final page down to 8-1/2 inches.
The 43 being Teletypes first dot matrix printer, had 132 column
carriage, in compressed mode, which is why the paper width
is so bizarre, the length of the page doesn't matter it may
have only been 8-1/2, I can't remember. The down side of the
43, (yea, like there is only one?), is that with the tractor platen,
there is no friction feed capability, so the standard size tractor
paper used in a 28 for example, won't work, and there is no
adjustment for the location of the tractor pin rings, they are
fixed, which is why I'm in a fix!

The ribbons on the other hand are only 1/4 inch wide and just a
continuous loop that is re-inked by an ink soaked (or in my case,
dried up) foam roller that makes contact inside the rectangular
cartridge affair that is ultimately held in place by a magnet, kind
of ingenious, in a Picaso sort of way! I'll send some pics off list.

Great idea on the 40 ribbons though, I'll keep that one in mind, as I
think those can still be had through office supply stores from
NU-KOTE.

Just Bob!
