   I started the question because I was trying to get RTTYArt running on
my laptop.  The idea started out with the requirement to read some old 5
level tapes into the PC. (I have several hours of tapes of the AP HF
transmission during the hours before and after the Nixon resignation).

But it does not look like laptop with USB/RS-232 will fly.

I still have plenty of desk top units with built in RS-232 
So I will get this done one way or an other !  (Time to stop
