[GreenKeys] 33's driving me nuts...

I now have two ASR33's, (one I converted from a KSR by adding the
obvious parts). That one is 99% complete but I disassembled the
so-called "Answer-back Area" (including the distributor clutch)
several years ago for now-unknown reasons. I think I now have all
the parts aside from possibly a couple of springs. I'm rather
intimidated by the complexity of the distributor shaft & clutch
amidst all those levers.
The other is extremely clean inside and everything works except it
just won't linefeed. With the platen assembly removed I can pull
on the link and the pawl will move it one (or two) lines as
intended. The roller isn't binding nor any stiffer than any other
33 I have used. But no matter what I do with the adjustments it
doesn't seem to move enough on the link to move the roller, just
"pecks" at it.
I've about reached my limit of frustration. Is there anyone who
still repairs these beasts? An "old-timer" could probably take one
look at them and figure out exactly what the problems are. I could
remove and ship the typing units (shipping entire 33's would be
prohibitively expensive). I'm located in south central Missouri
and could travel to Springfield MO (2 hrs away) or even St. Louis
or Little Rock (4 hrs) to a repairman for the right price.
thanks for any help.
