Hello Board ! 

Thank you so much for all the replies  concerning my
interest in RTTY.  I wasn't sure what if any response
I would receive and its much appreciated.  Many of you
have asked for my location in order to help me in
obtaining a teletype machine or point me in the right
direction.   I live in the Asheville, North Carolina
area. 

Since my post last night I've been doing more looking
and reading and it just further fuels my interest in
RTTY. Some of the info I'll be honest is way over my
head.  I did download MATTY and am actually receiving
Teletype signals as long as open up Winap and tune to
the "ITTY" network. I suppose this is a "receive only"
type method and it seems to be limited to only what's
on the network at that time.  

Lots of info that's for sure on the Web. From my
understanding a teletype isn't necessary anymore to be
an RTTY operator but for me,  I think it would be
awesome. 

It's great to hear from you and I look forward to
hearing more from you and hopefully sometime in the
not too distant future being able to talk over RTTY
with you.
