Greg and other "locals",
I'm down in Jamestown close to the lake. Unless both our rigs were on a
high hill, in nearly line-of-sight, we will probably have difficulty
getting a QSO over the 75-85 mile distance, unless, I suppose, we had
legal-limit output rigs. Hard to do with your Icom. What town is your QTH?
Someday in the next year or less, I will re-test for my lo-oong dormant
ticket and I'd love to try setting up a sked just to try it :-) I've got
the Dovetron, but need a decent VHF rig and, especially, an M28. However, I
gotta clear out a LOT of accumulation of stuff first before Beverly will
allow something as big as an ASR28 to be brought in :-\ Maybe glass TTY
will have to suffice for awhile . . .
Best of the Season,
Chris F.
