Wow Jim, glad to hear you have an FRXD.

I had an FRXD-3-EL "climbing moneky" non-typing reperf and tape reader that
was purchased from Atlantic in 1962. Fred helped me get some gears to
convert it to 60-WPM. I donated it to The Science Museum of Long Island (NY)
in 1992 and they discarded it a year later!

Sure would like to find another, or even see photos of yours.

Wonder if any other Greenkeys members own/use one?

I agree, Fred is a super guy and has been real supportive of anyone who
needs Teletype parts or documentation. He dug out and made copies for me of
the
instructions for the FRXD and with that info and a little control box, I got
it
working. He did not have a cabinet or cover for it however, but if he did,
he'd have sold it at a fair price. Kudos and hats off to Fred Schmitt for
all
the good he has done for the ham radio hobby. He has a huge stock and good
pricing on tubes too.

If he's closing up shop, I hope someone equally well inclined assumes
control of his stock. Bless him.
