Greg,

I have a newly acquired ST-6000 here but have not gotten it fully hooked up
yet. (It is in ok shape and running right, though.) I know only a little
about it, but there is a "programming plug" on the back, maybe called the
"Accessory Plug". It's the biggest one with most contacts. That thing has
to have the right jumpers installed for the mode of operation you intend
(e.g. "Loop Sense" enabled).

Did you get one in backwards??

As I understand it, the 28's keyboard and printer need to be in series for
the ST-6000 loop sense feature to work. It senses loop signals that are
*not* generated in the ST-6000 and switches modes from receiver (drive the
printer with loop current) to send (sense the loop current and make AFSK
and logic signals for transmitting.) Getting the 28 set up right may be as
simple as putting the ASR's switch in the correct position, or similar with
a KSR.

I'll be glad to hear what you find out, since I expect to be running my 28
KSR's here with the ST-6000.
