[GreenKeys] HAL ST-6000 help needed

Hello all,
I'm trying to get a Hal ST-6000 up and running here for my newly
acquired 28KSR. After troubleshooting a bad IC, I have the 6000 working
just fine for receive and it drives the 28 FB. However, when I try to send
with the 28 and the 6000, something odd happens: The moment I press a key
on the TTY, the 6000 shifts to space (I think) and just sits there. Also,
the TTY free-runs. If I recycle the power to the 6000 a few times, the 28
gets happy again and sits patiently for the 6000 to send it something.
Am I doing something wrong here? Like I said, it receives great so I
think I have everything setup correctly. I'm guessing it's another bad IC
somewhere, but I thought I'd ask before diving in with the logic probe
again. Any suggestions? BTW, I've already replaced all of the electrolytic
and tantalum caps (I've had a lot of bad experiences with tantalums!)
Could the 28 have a problem?

    Thanks and 73,
    - Greg K2GTM
