I have a '53 edition, good then, good now. Never goes out of style. It's 
kind of like the TM11-680 "Teletypewriter Circuits and Equipment: 
(Fundamentals) October 1947.

The oldies are still the best.  I have to say that they even, outdo, by 
far, all of my Navy manuals from the 1960's and all the coursework for 
RM 3/2 and 1/C.  They even go into far more detail, and the explanations 
are clear and concise.
