I'm not familiar with the rear connectors on the ST-6 that's currently up  
for sale of eBay either.  The unit that you bought looks exactly like mine  
though.
 
Yes, the power outlet is for your Teletype.  It can be used for  Autostart 
operation.  There are two switches on the front of your  ST-6.  The first will 
turn Auto on or off.  The second will make Auto  either fast or slow.  This 
last switches determines how long the mark  signal is present before turning on 
your teleprinter.
 
You can also turn the motor on all the time with the motor on switch.   Also, 
when you go to standby, the motor stays on but the loop isn't keyed so you  
can block any printing.

1970 and now use it daily for HF RTTY.
