We wouldn't be on this list if we weren't fascinated by all things Teletype
(and "teleprinter"). But, some of Teletype's products brought out the worst
in us (the guys who had to repair them for a living).
We've had past discussions about the "best TTY of all time" and I believe
the Model 15 won. The "worst of all time" has a long list of possibilities.
Even though the Model 32/33 was not built to the same standards as the
15's and 28's, it definitely had its place in history; it ushered in the computers-for-the-masses age. The good old Model 26 had a similar fate; it wore out fast. Then there was the Model 37 and the Model 40 line. If we want to go astray a bit, there's always the AN/UGC-74 that we could all gang up on! I will admit I've never seen a Model 33 with a melted platen!
