Hi Jan:
It's not that you couldn't sign up for greenkeys, it's just that I have to
approve new subscriptions, and I am not near email on the weekends. Well,
except today, since I stopped in the office this morning. So you are
signed up now. Welcome to greenkeys!
You have the special perforating version of the model 15, which came as
part of the model 19 set. There is a single manual, about two inches
thick, that covers the model 19, and has all the info you need (several M15
manuals, manuals on the M14 TD...). Hopefully someone will have a spare
manual for you.
First, you need to clean and lube the machine. I just went through this on
an M15 that had quite a few frozen parts, so it took a while to get
running. If your machine's mechanism frees up easily, it won't be too hard
to get it going. Hopefully you have the 115VAC synchronous motor, and not
the governed motor. Figuring out the wiring is also a bit of a trick,
since many time the wiring has been modified and the manual may not be
correct. I traced out the wiring and isolated the selector magnets and
keyboard contacts on the terminal strips, bypassing the polar relay stuff.
If you have digital pics, we can help you identify exactly what you have
there. But note that greenkeys does not allow attachments, so they need to
be emailed off-list.
thanks,
gil smith,
