Hi folks:
I have been working a fair amount on TTY-Connect firmware and
documentation, and am at a point where I can start taking names for pcb and
micro orders. I believe TTY-Connect will do almost everything folks have
requested. After I have a count for orders, I can get the production run
on the pcb -- it will be a 4-week turn.
The preliminary hardware and firmware docs are available at:
http://www.vauxelectronics.com/gil/tty-connect/
These docs are subject to change, until the software is released (eg: many
of the programming commands are not yet in the firmware doc). The
schematic is not ready just yet.
I am going to offer the bare printed circuit board (pcb) for $20.00, and a
programmed microcontroller for $6.00.
I was originally intending to offer parts kits, but I just don't have the
time for that right now. If someone else wants to offer parts procurement
and kits, that would be great, otherwise most everything is available from
the Mouser catalog.
The parts list and other details are in the hardware doc.
What I need to know at this point is what you intend to purchase:
- quantity of PCBs at $20.00 each
- quantity of Micros at $6.00 each
It would also be interesting to know which sections you intend to build, in
addition to the basic parts (which includes the PC232 and TU232 ports):
- HV1 Loop ?
- HV2 Loop ?
- LV Loop ?
Note that I am usually away from email on the weekends.
thanks,
gil
