Hi Robert,

I have read your mail in GREENKEYS!

I use 255A polar relays in my shack to interconnect TTY signals amongst the machines and to do polar/neutral conversion. I am always on the lookout for spare relays and the SOCKETS (even harder to find), as I have found that many 255A's now are suffering from dying magnets. Despite using a commercial magnet recharger I have been unable to revive about 50% of the ones I find. So the carcass is preserved for It's parts since much of a polar relay is assembled with removable fastners. Many relays also have a metal cover as opposed to the molded bakelite cover. I use the metal ones in areas where RF noise could be a problem, but I need bakelite covers as well.

I am asking if I can purchase those 255A relays as well as any recoverable sockets that can be salvaged from the equipment that you are about to scrap. Even busted relays are useful, since parts are interchangable.

Yes, I have a Polar relay calibration test set. Bought it years ago from John Meshna, MA.

Please advise, if this is possible and what you would like for compensation.

Best Regards,

Charles A. Days
