I have a Northstar with over 250K on it, still running strong. I guess the
replacement piston market to be quite small based on my sampling. As a
matter of interest, though, I think the Northstar may indeed use sleeves,
which means you replace the cylinder and piston as a unit, as in large
diesels. Even if that is not the case, the engine is so reliable and durable
that the point is mostly moot.
