Hi

Norcal has a cheap QRP kit they call the 38 special. The claim is you 
can build one for under $25. The interesting thing is that it almost 
tunes to 10.133 as designed. From a quick look at the schematics it 
should be easy to change the crystal to get it to tune to any point in 
the 10.130 to 10.140 sub band. I doubt we will make a lot of contacts 
with a couple of hundred mw but it sure would be a nice cheap dedicated 
receiver. Put a series resonant crystal in front of it and I'll bet 
it's got darn good performance.
