[GreenKeys] SELCAL - auto start proposed

Hi,

How tough is it to do a band switch on the Collins stuff you have? I'm
still a little hung up on a multi band net that switches band based on
the time of day. Some of the broadcast gear I have seen is a bit of a
pain to do a quick band change on.

Even without the GPS stuff we can get frequencies right to below a
hertz on any of the bands we are talking about. I think that is
probably a good idea. It makes the auto start and anti-garbage stuff on
the TU work a bit better. Coming home to a room full of scrap paper is
a bit less likely that way ....

I'm far from a propagation wiz so this may be totally messed up. If so
somebody please put me out of my misery ....

Base everything on time in Kansas City.

1) bulletin at noon on 20 meters
2) bulletin midnight on 80 meters
3) figure out a bulletin time for 40 meters, say 6 pm

Three bulletins a day at maybe 5-10 minutes each. Not a lot of traffic
but enough to confirm that everything is working ok. Each bulletin sent
with it's own sel cal id so if you don' t want to print it you don't
have to print it.

Once a week / month expand the bulletin to include a current sel cal
list for the net and all the other administrative stuff. A lot of it
would be repetitive. GIve it a separate sel cal so you don't have to
print it if you don't want to. One obvious example would be that you
copied it just fine earlier in the day.

	Enjoy!
