Hum let's see if I can be of assistance here!

Actually it ranges from around 6.5 volts up to 120 vdc depending on the
installation,
and application usage!

Yes there are several examples of this on the web, however all RS-232 to 20
MA
loop "circuits do NOT work, without changes to the 20MA side.

Try 17,205.3 Khz and tune around there, some is inverted but copy is there,
also
a lot of foreign ships still have it and use it, especially the "emerging"
nations. Try
starting you listening around 16 Mhz and go as high as 20 Mhz there is
Baudot Ascii
and even news services still there just not as consistently as in days of
"OLD"!

Yep, and they run around 600 watts when they run it and it annoys the low
power
as in "QRP" guys as the transmitter is trashy but noone at ARRL seems to
care!

Also has some very GOOD filters for those modes, with the original cables as
are
described in the manual the hook-up is very straight forward for everything
from a
VDT, TTY, and even a "PC" type computer there are even freeware programs tha
t
run on various "Platforms" that control the PK-232 in a user friendly
manner.

Unless of course you ask some of the "Other RTTY Users to switch to that
mode"!
And Merry XMAS to all, and to all a good Byte!
