Scope? Whazzat? I've been tuning by ear since at least late 1966 when
I was using AN/GRC-26C. Later, back in USofA, had five AN/FRR-38's and
I could tell the shift by ear and by the swing of the ma meters on both
channels of the CV-116's. Was lotsa good stuff floating around back
then. Am running two real AN/FRR-38's at home, along with a hybrid
using two R-391's and a CV-116C. To go fishing for a signal, I use only
my 51J4. Real men don't need scopes.
