I'll bet the RS-232 was added by someone for using one of the many RTTY
software programs of the 80's or later. I've seen several attempts at that.
Your "serial numberless" one sounds like one of the kits that were sold, and
the owner likely hooked up only what he wanted. I have one like that
myself!! See you on 20m, sounds like you have the ST-6 under control!
