On a 32 there is a call control unit over on the right, though maybe not on
yours, and there is a selector magnet driver card at the back of it..

Normally the 32 doesn't directly need a high voltage low currant loop, but a
low voltage system to drive the selector magnets, which was the purpose of
the SMD (adapter) card.

Otherwise the loop supply connection, as I remember, is the first and
second terminals from either the right or the left end of the terminal strip
as viewed from the back..

And with a 32, polarity reversal also does things..

It's been awhile, and IF I'm wrong about any of the above, sorry about
that...!!

Can you manually reset the keyboard? I've worked on 28's as well,
but I don't remember all of it.. IF the keyboard is indeed jammed, and I
don't remember ever seeing that, attempting to cycle it through it's
operation will generally reveal the problem.

We had a Teletype Model 28 teacher tell our class that the machine in front
of us was the best teaching tool, just watching it cycle manually..

Again, it's been awhile, and IF I'm wrong about any of the above, sorry
about that...!!

Best,

Dick
