Hello Gil,

I am definitely interested in a 232 to HV loop interface to drive my M28
ASR with the Dovetron. The features already mentioned by several of the
fellows, especially Mr. Norris, would be great. I would particularly
like the device to have buffered speed change capability since my
machine has 100 speed gears. I would also want the device to be an
external unit using BNC connectors since I like to keep stuff as
original as possible. Last, but not least, I would hope you can come up
with a design that uses readily available parts from Jameco, Mouser,
etc. rather than obsolete or "unobtainium" type parts (or parts that can
only be purchased in lots of a zillion) like a lot of magazine
construction articles specify.

Thanks for the offer to do the project, and please keep us posted on
what you come up with.
