" Telegraph terminal AN/FGC-29 is a fixed -plant terminal equipment for 16
channel carrier telegraph systems that provides communication over long
range twin channel single sideband radio circuits operating in the HF band.
Facilities are provided for both 2 cannel and 4 channel diversity combining
to overcome effects of radio fading.
The available radio bandwidth of 200-6000 cps is divided by this equipment
into 2 circuits,each with a nominal bandwidth of 375 to 3.025 cps ( ed note:
the period is in the text should be 3,025?) Thus various combinations of
teletypewriter, voice, and/or facsimile facilities are available through
terminal equipment.
Equalizer and amplifier equipment are also provided to permit operation of
the terminal over wire line facilities to remote radio stations."
