Hello all, 

I'm new to this list but not new to the world of teletypes.

I was a radioman in the U.S. Navy for 20+ years.  I retired 10 years ago and I
haven't even looked at a teletype since.  

What I would like to do is get involved with teletypes again.  I miss those
old machines.

Since it has been so long, my memory just isn't what it used to be.  I had
communicated with someone on this list sometime last year.  I dropped off for
a while due to a divorce.

This person told me that he had a number of old teletypes in his garage that
his wife would be happy if he gave them away and he was willing to fix me up.

Is that person still on this list?  I live in Woodinville, WA. and I believe
this person lived in Auburn or somewhere south of Seattle.

If not, then can someone tell me what I need to get back in the world of
teletype.  It all sounds so foreign now.

I do remember the Receiver, Converter (URA-17) and the old 60ma patch panels.

But that is about it.

Any advice out there???
