Web, et al,

The owner of Dovetron is Hank Scharf, W6SKC (I think that's his call).

The Dove has direct RS232 output (plus/minus 12 VDC) and can go directly
into your COM port. Of course, you need the proper software to make it
"talk".

I think the Model 29ASR was a 35 in a 28 cabinet and the Model 34ASR is a 28
in a 35 cabinet (I have a "homebrew" Model 34ASR). This is according to an
article that Gordon White had in CQ magazine a LONG time ago. He showed how
to modify the 28 keyboard to fit into the 35 cabinet. All you need was
something like $20 worth of parts from a company called Teletype
Corporation...don't try this at home, these days!

If there is enough interest, I can make copies of my Dovetron manual (the
MPC1000R, not the Tempest model). It won't be cheap due to the
"blueprint-size" schematics.

Dovetrons show up on Ebay and at hamfests. They go from $30 each to the
hundreds of dollars. The Tempest models work fine, but they don't have the
HV DC loop.

Probably the next converter/terminal unit of choice would be the HAL ST-6
and maybe an Electrocom 250 or 400 if you can find one.
