George,

I am very interested.  With my pending banishment to the midwest I 
will be looking for a nice acreage for a ground plane.  A good fellow 
down here might help me with a 500 watt military transmitter unit.  I 
will have to apply for a license of some kind.  I have only a 
restricted radio telephone license at the moment; KCY 3666 which is 
intended for shipboard use.  McHenry County is a good place for a 
transmitter site.  It is close to the Wisconsin state line and over 
60 miles NW of Chicago.  In the winter I could install a small RT in 
my travel trailer and experiment by travelling around to different 
sites and sending RTTY.
