Well, the 32 is 5-bit baudot, and the 33 is 8-bit ascii, so there is quite
a difference inside. You can tell the 32 since it has a three-row keyboard
(with figs/ltrs keys for baudot), while the 33 has a four-row keyboard. To
computer collectors, the 33 is very desirable, the 32, not so much. But
some folks on this list have 32 telex machines, and like them.
The CCU (the interface module on the right side) for telex uses a special
dc loop -- the dialer invokes polarity-reversing signalling of some sort.
You can bypass the CCU and tap into the selector-magnet driver board with a
standard 20-mil loop, but I think someone said that they have connected a
loop directly to the telex input as well. This is a low-voltage loop (48V
max, I think it is) -- don't connect a 120V tty loop.
