Hi, er, PDW, you anonymous guy you:
HeavyMetal is a great program, and so is RTTYArt. I have run the full HM
version (needing perl libs) on windows 98 -- the standalone HM executable
for win runs the same way. And, in my continuing quest to distance myself
from microsoft's crap, I have also succesfully run the linux version of HM
on redhat 7.1.
I have never had a port speed problem, and I have used an M15 (60 wpm) to
type as well as print, so both port directions worked fine. I have even
sent email using my M15. Does the HM terminal window work for you, and
just not the tty port? What port/speed are you trying to use? What loop
interface are you using? You might need to give Bill some specifics of the
pc and o/s. It would be nice if you told us your name.
greenkeys FYI: the new greenkeys mail list replies to the LIST, and not
the person, unlike it did before. Previously, we had to explicitly add
greenkeys to the reply.
