Hi Gil,
Problem is there are very few print hammer heads that have any life
in them. You need to keep them in talcum powder and out of heat or
cold. Keep cleaning the ink off them when on the machine. I only
have a few left. Only one to a customer nowadays. I will find out
what it would cost to repro them.
If I remember properly 6 level tape was the same as 5 level. The
extra punch was in the middle with the feed holes advanced in between
the rows of punches. 7 and 8 level tape could be 7/8" or 1". WUT
saved a bunch of money by always using the 7/8" tape.
I have discovered a cache of 5 level mylar tape. At some point I
will be selling it. It is NOS from the sixties.
Regards,
Don
