I wonder where (or when) the myth that WD-40 is a lubricant began?
It is really more of a varnish than a lubricant, hence the acronym "WD" =
water displacer.

That is one product that the world (and machinery) would be a better place
without. 

BTW, Kroil WILL free things stuck by WD-40.
