The Model 33ASR TWX machines are finally starting to "come out of the closet". This machine is a TWX configuration, not TELEX. We all know that TELEX is 66wpm with 5-level code. Note that this machine has a Touchtone dial and also seems to have a card dialer just above the TT dial. The 101C dataset communicates at 110 baud with the Bell "103" modem tone set. Sending this email for information only, don't know the seller. I will be following the auction...shipping will be a challenge.

Item Description:		
	  This is an ASR 33 teletype, western Union telex. It is touch tone has a built in Western Electric 101 data set.  The output/input is     TIP  &  RING and is shown in the electrcal drawings that will come with the set.
 The manual has information and drawings on the electrical components , but other than a little on adjusting the papaer tape reader --- no mechanical info------  I have used it to copy paper tapes. The printer, paper tape reader and paper tape punch all work. I have never connected it to the phone line, but the man I got it from said it was in good working condition when removed from CBS Chicago.
   The bad part of this, is it weighs about 110 pounds.
 I have fears of it getting damaged in shipment,,, and ship cost would probably be very high.  It is in the Chicago area (southwest of Chicago).  If you can pick it up-- great.  If you would like me to deliver for about 18 cents a mile(total trip) within the midwest, I would consider that.   If you live east or west coast, email me so we can discuss shipping before you bid.
This is an as is sale. If you pick it up or I deliver it I will guarantee that the Mechanics work as I described. If we give it to a delivery service-- it is the standard risk.
