My first Teletype was a Model 15 from Michigan Bell. I couldn't get
it to copy anything off the air until a local ham with a bit more
experience came over and informed me that it was geared for 75wpm.
I don't remember the details, but converting it to 60wpm was quite easy.
Just change two gears. No additional disassembly required.
The machine had been in "stockboard" service (at least that's the name
I remember). The optional upper case characters were fractions for
printing stock quotes.
