After a very thorough lube of my Model 19, I discovered that the last 1/2 
inch of the letter S type bar where it fits into the code bars broke off.  
Of course, even though there are 250,000 other parts that work just fine, 
this little break renders the whole machine pretty much inoperable.

How difficult is it to replace one type bar?  (It seems a bit tricky to my 
untrained eye).  Does anyone have a spare?  Or maybe a larger unit needs to 
be replaced.

It is such a shame, because this was going to be the first time that 
everything was working and completely lubricated.  Murphy's Law strikes 
again!
