[GPS_Standard] Montrol Clear Current Stats button bug or feature ?

Short version of the question is :
  Is clearing the current stats  (yellow section) supposed to have 
the same effect as restarting Montrol fresh?

Longer version:
When clearing current stats for the Current Cycle, the Avg Frequency 
offset for the Current Cycle, seems to continue averaging from 
previous accumulated data as if the current stats were not cleared.

For example if the average in the current cycle has deteriorated 
to  -4.5e-04, even after hitting the Clear Current Stats button, the 
Avg frequency offset for the Current Cycle stays in the e-04 range.
Quitting out of montrol and starting it up again, shows an Avg 
frequency offset for the Current Cycle in the e-08 / e-09 range.
