As i needed a BIG LED display so i could see the time from the other side of
the shack I modified my Z3801 PIC clock module to use the output from the
UT+ GPS in my Bert box.
As the GPS is in fixed position mode, I decided not to bother looking at the
lat/long data
The writeup is at http://g4fre.com/utclock.htm

Hi Roberto;
You have a really good idea there. A little led display for my front panel
would be a good thing to have. Both Bert's controller and my Motorola GPS
receiver
send ASCII data to the PC when it's connected so, why not intercept the data
and
display selected bits of information on the display.
I think it might be a good thing to display the number of satellites we are
receiving data from
and other information pertaining to the operation of the system.
I'm afraid that I'm a bit PIC challenged but others might find this to be
an interesting project.
Best regards, Bob K7HBG
