Hi Rich,
I have attached the 10544A specsheet. You will find most, if not all of the
answers in there... My knowledge of the 10544A is limited since I don't use
an HP oscillator. Maybe others can provide more insight...
Thanks,
Bert. VE2ZAZ

Subject: [GPS_Standard] Getting Started? HP 10544A Questions.
Hi, I am getting ready to start building me GPS Frequency Standard. I have
the PCBA and programmed PIC and a Garmin GPS-25-HVS engine for the project.
Now, my question is about the hookup, voltage requirements and hints about
the HP 10544a (No Dash No) Crystal Oscillator for the project.
This VCXO appears to require 24VDC for the oven heater in on Pin 14. Gnd on
Pin 15
+12Vdc for oven controller on Pin 8. Gnd on Pin 9
+12 Vdc for Oscillator / Amp on Pin 8. Gnd on Pin 4
10 Mhz out on Pin 1
Something Called EFC Input on Pin 7, Gnd on Pin 6 ??? Is this the control
voltage for TCXO Frequency ???
My 10544A has a daughter PCBA attached Labeled Oven Osc Series 1728, P/N
05328-60018 do I need or use this daughter pcba?
What kind of current do I need for the various input voltages for this TCXO?
There are no pin numbers on the module, were can I find pin #1.
Any help to point me in the proper direction.
Thanks
Rich KQ6EF
