This *may* be a good thing.  I have a book by mallory that tells a LOT  
about vibrators and the design of the supplies, and also the  
transformer used.  I do remember that the frequency of operation was  
important for the transformer operation.

I'l love to scan the book,  but unfortunately, I'm both moving and  
have no scanner (yet).
