[Gonset] Cleaning Metal Knobs?

I have a Comm IV which appears to have been
exposed to salt spray or something - maybe
it was just prolonged moisture in a garage
or attic or barn.

The knobs are corroded.

What is the best way to restore them, please?

I don't want to harm them by using the wrong
chemical or other method.
