Digging further into my GE Phoenix project.
I have my programmer running just fine now.
Turned out it did not like my old laptop or my old PC's parallel ports.
I moved the operation to another laptop I had on hand and BOOM it works
fine.
Go Figure.

Part 2. I have several Phoenix SXs I have been playing with, all VHF.
I have programmed them for the local 2 meter frequencies with no problems
and they work GREAT.
Good overall sensitivity on the service monitor and a solid 40 watts out.

I have a plan to put one or two 2 channel units on the local packet APRS
freq. of 144.390.
I programmed one up this weekend and it has a solid 40 Watts out on TX.
But my receiver is as dead as post.
I have the service manual and adjusted the VCO voltage for max.

Anybody made one work on 144.390 before?
If so what components in the RX did you change?

Thanks for your time.
