Based on Al's update this afternoon the clubhouse access road is still impassible so Tech Saturday is postposed as described below. I'll check the roads periodically over the next few days and announce when the clubhouse is open again. The next scheduled activity there is the Directors' Meeting on Wednesday night, which hopefully will be able to take place as planned.

Subject: Clubhouse snow report - still closed...
The road to the clubhouse is still covered with thick snow. The 4H driveway has been plowed only as far as the house at the end (about 40 yards from the road), leaving two large snow barriers from the plow beyond that point. I was able to push through those barriers in my 4WD SUV and reach the clubhouse driveway, though there was significant sliding. The driveway up to the clubhouse itself is also heavily snow-covered. I managed to drive up it but I wasn't comfortable stopping as I was concerned I might not be able to get moving again. The road is certainly impassible in a passenger car.
As a result, the clubhouse remains closed. I'll try to check it again tomorrow, but I don't expect much change at this point. The forecast shows warming temperatures over the weekend, which should help melt some snow and hopefully improve access in time for next week's Board meeting.
Unless something unusual happens tomorrow, Tech Saturday's Packet Radio session will be postponed again, this time to Saturday, February 21. The DMR session originally scheduled for February 21 will also need to be moved to a date in March, since I’m already committed to another activity the following Saturday.
I'll keep everyone updated as conditions change. Hopefully we'll have some good news early next week.
