So far we have 15 participants on the GCARC group order for the TAPR WSPR boards with several more who have already procured their WSPR boards, TAPR or otherwise. The deadline for ordering is next Wednesday April 15 so we can have them delivered and ready for the May 9 assembly session. While there are many ways to create WSPR signals, including using your own HF rig in the WSPR mode of WSJTX, this is one of the simplest so get on the list before the deadline expires if you're interested. See the link below to sign up.
Also - if you're an HF operator and want a deep dive into propagation and band conditions you may find the WSPR network reports useful even if you're not operating your own WSPR station. The WSPR Daily Report summarizes the WSPR spot data for all of the GCARC WSPR Network stations (with some test stations temporarily included) and combines it with the solar index information to create a narrative description of conditions for each HF band over the previous 7 days. It also reviews the results of the participating stations comparing antenna efficiency and directionality. It's on the Skunkworks website at skunkworks.w2mmd.org under the Club Activities header.
Finally, the WSPR Network reporting site has detailed AI-driven analyses for each band and each participating station along with reports from all of the WWV WSPR reference stations, along with detailed analyses for each individual station signed up with the GCARC WSPR Network. The group reports are at wspr.wb2mnfai.org with the station-specific reports accessed by clicking on the callsign on the group report. These reports are created on demand and may take several seconds to populate so be patient while they're loading. If you're planning to set up your own WSPR station you'll be there too. Stations can sign up at the top of the Group report and any WSPR spots from their callsign on any band will automatically populate the report.
Any local WSPR station is welcome to participate in the network - GCARC membership is appreciated but not required. We're hoping to crowd-source some interesting and helpful propagation stats that are helpful to our local operators.
