[GCARC] Don't charge your TidRadio H3 with the charging dock with the radio attached

I have three of these radios, and all of them have been charged in the
cradle as assemblies, with the battery attached to the radio. None of mine
are exhibiting this problem. I may, however, suggest that the problem
might be occurring if the radio is placed in the cradle with the radio
switched on, but that is only a guess, as I cannot substantiate it as all
of my radios work properly.
The problem could also be related to a failed charge control circuit in
certain copies of the charging cradle. Many of these cradles use a MOSFET
in the control circuit, which often has one of its leads tied to one of the
contacts on the cradle, and as such they are subject to static discharge
damage if touched. That would *not *seem likely to be the issue with these
TID cradles, as they are only two-contact cradles, but I mention it here
just to put the warning out there. That is a known condition with, for
example, certain versions of the Yaesu CD-41 charging cradle.
I believe, however, that Jon's sage advice is best -- charge the battery by
itself at least until we get some more information or some resolution to
this issue.
