[GCARC] CAT programming.

I have a simple need, to send my FT-991 the instruction to activate the
tuner.  Can anyone point me in the direction for programming this.  I have
a background in c and have dabbled in assembler.  I rarely compile anything
anymore - my needs have evolved to LAMP.  Some code examples would be
appreciated.
The program simply sends the string to the cat controller.  No bells or
whistles needed.
