Jim,

Thanks for putting out the word. This is a great event, and is VERY
popular. There are 10 operators for K2I - New Jersey this year, two of
them are members of GCARC. Darrell AB2E, and me, K3TS. We have been doing
this for a number of years now, and it is always a fun time. The pileups
are bigger than any that I have ever experienced in a contest. Darrell has
operated from some DX stations, so he is better at handling them than I am,
but I still manage to make a few hundred at least.

You are correct. Due to our location along the Eastern Seaboard, it is
quite easy to work all of them from here. In addition to being an operator,
I always take the challenge myself, and I make it different each year, such
as all CW, all 40 meters, or like last year, all 40m CW from the mobile!
That was fun, especially the ones made while driving! All HF bands and all
modes will be in play, so there will be plenty of chances for
first-timers.

I hope to work some of you and I hope that many of you will go for it and
try to get the certificate. 73 and good luck

Tony K3TS
