Can you name all 13 of the original 13 colonies?

Or better yet, will you take on the challenge of going for a "clean sweep"
of making radio contacts with special event radio stations set up in each
of them?

Starting this weekend, here is your chance!
http://www.13colonies.us/
Not heard of this event before? It's fun! Give it a try!

They'll be using special event 1-by-1 callsigns, from K2A (NY)
alphabetically all the way through K2M (PA), including K2I (NJ),
transmitting from each of the original 13 colonies states.
(ok, I just gave away 3 of the thirteen original colonies. Can you name the
other 10?)

As Bonus, there are also 3 other special event stations participating in
the event - one is the William Penn station in Philadelphia (WM3PEN), one
is in England (GB13COL), and one is in France (TM13COL), but you do not
need them for the clean sweep.

Because we are located right in the middle of the action here in NJ, you
might have good luck on 40 meter SSB (which works with NVIS) when chasing
the original 13 colonies stations, as they are all located here on the East
Coast. But they will also be operating on other bands and modes too, if
want to give those a try too in your quest to catch them all!

At the Pizza Night July 5 club meeting, we can ask for a "show of hands" to
see if anyone has been able to make contact with any of the stations by
then. If anyone has actually bagged all 13 for a clean sweep by then, we
might give you a standing ovation, hihi!
That would be quite an accomplishment!

Up for the challenge?

Have fun,
and Good Luck to anyone who tries!

Jim, n2gxj
