[GCARC] Learning Morse

I forgot to mention that this was back in 1954 (69 years ago). I memorized half the code on one day and the other half the next day. I wired the 6.3 VAC winding on a toy train set transformer in series with a pair of military surplus headphones and key to practice. A bonus of this was that I was able to hear the nearby Jim Creek Naval Radio station (VLF) coming in over the power lines. I lived just north of Seattle. My callsign was WN7WFJ.

I practice all the time by speaking CW to myself. It may seem strange, but I do it all the time.
