Todd KD2ESH,
Congrats on the new rig! The IC-2300H owners manual says it requires at least a 20 amp supply (not 30 amp) for this 65 watt radio, but it would not hurt to purchase something with a 25 to 30 or even higher amp rating in case you later want to run a 100 watt HF rig. I agree with Mario that ASTRON makes a very good product. I have had some of their switching power supplies for over 30 years without a problem.
As an example, you might consider the Astron SS-25-AP 25 amp power supply (see URL below from Ham Radio Outlet. I have no connection to HRO or any other vendor). Other models feature higher power, meters, etc. It depends on how much you want to spend. Some models use Linear Voltage Regulation and some are Switching Power Supplies. In theory, the Linear Supplies provide a more pure DC output than the Switching Supplies but I have never known this to be an issue with Switching Supplies, and the Switching Supplies tend to be more compact, lighter weight and more efficient than the Linear Supplies since they sip power when idling and do not require a large power transformer.
