I'm done. Do what you want with it. I will no longer report or assist in the performance of the repeater.
No, it's not Christmas lights since Aug /Sept. No, it's not a garage door opener that runs 24-7, especially on Sunday night net, for the duration of the entire net. No, it's not a plasma TV that someone started using in Aug/Sept, and discarded last week.
I have been on this repeater since 2005. It has had a long history of problems, and a long history of pointing reasons in other directions. Not to mention that every other repeater in that time, including the 390, JOE, DUX, N3KZ, all come in spotless. It's only this repeater and this freq.
I would like to reiterate that this is the repeater that most of the emergency organizations use, including Skywarn, which was using it during the tornado.
Leave it as is.
Vinnie

only takes 1 non FCC compliant electrical device to ruin a repeater party. did any of the neighbors have any self powered decorations? blow up snowman etc. I don't think that massed produced stuff gets stringently tested and since it's installed for a few weeks it's not around long enough to notice interference. and it's often off in the daytime and only runs after dark.

Sounds completely normal. No noise. Crystal clear. Best it has sounded in months.
What did you guys do?
